Cal State Bakersfield nursing student Sylvia Gonzalez was vaccinated against the H1N1 flu back in October — and she’d do it again. “I’ve seen first-hand how this virus can affect a seemingly healthy person,” she said. One day they’re experiencing typical flu symptoms, the next they’re on a ventilator battling kidney failure.
